Photographing Katie May + Gucci Cafe

Exploring parts of Tokyo for great picture spots has become one of my new favorite things to do here. My friend and designer Katie May, a new friend, and I took a walk down the streets of Ginza. I wanted some time behind the camera and get Katie in front of it. She has such a unique style and a knack for putting together an outfit. Watch her work it...

Katie wears all pieces from her own closet: orange paisley print H&M harem pants which she altered dramatically, Giuseppe Zanotti for Balmain lace-up ankle boots, and black Donna Karan Collection top. Katie topped it off with an amazing vintage ostrich feather jacket. Wearing black leather gloves and carrying a Chanel purse.

Isn't she fabulous? Check out Katie May's website and blog. Such a creative!

On this outing, we also paid a visit to the Gucci Cafe. Though a tad pricey, I have to admit that I ate one of the most scrumptious caprese salads ever.

I was not quite dressed for photo time, but Katie snapped this one anyway. We couldn't stop gawking at the gorgeous guilded wall behind us.

As I write this post, I'm listening to two great songs: one by Massive Attack called Teardrop and the other by a favorite band of mine - Sound Tribe Sector 9 (STS9) called By the Morning Sun. I highly suggest!
