Your Eagles Have Landed

After about 26 hours of driving over 3 days, and passing through 4 different states, the Hubby and I arrived safely in our new town for the season. A few photos I snapped on our journey to Santa Cruz:

The good-morning sun at the house we stayed in for the night in Phoenix, AZ.
Thanks Tracy and Ray!

Palm Springs, CA
We stayed the night in Manhattan Beach with my aunt and uncle (Thanks Betty and JD!). They took us for a lovely walk down The Strand to see some truly breathtaking beach homes... including the house from 90210!

-  If Tommy Bahama and Marie Antoinette had homes next to each other in LA  -

After a great night in Los Angeles, it was time to head back up the 101...

Upon arrival in Santa Cruz, we stayed in the house that Hubby's team owns. Amaziiiiiiing.

Twilight fans, are you thinking 'Cullen residence' right now?

Today we explored the city and found the coast. And a pelican hideout.

And surfers!

On the Road Again...

It seems like just the other day I was blogging about our road trip up to North Dakota. That snowy adventure came and went, and tomorrow (at the crack of dawn) Hubby and I say goodbye to Texas and head for the West Coast. Adios, Tejanos!

I won't be able to blog from the road, but I plan to update with photos: you can find me on Instagram under the name lizzaubrey, or follow me on Twitter for the same pics.
See yall on the flippity! HONK HONK

Caravan Dreams

In less than a week, my Hubby and I will once again pack up our belongings and caravan across the country. The life of a basketball coach (and wife) is a roaming one. We're like gypsies but we don't steal your clothes..... unless they're on-trend, of course.  Wink!

Speaking of gypsies, Free People's September LookBook pays tribute to Bohemian glam. I love Free People - just bought this red dress in fact. Enjoy the eclectic prints and lovely layers for Fall:

YES boots!

Now go hop in your caravan and head for the next town.
We will be!

The Coolest in School

Remember when you were a kiddo and your mom would lay out your outfit for the next day of school? It looked like a child fell down in starfish pose and evaporated, leaving nothing but clothing behind.

Even though I wore uniforms, my Mama believed that little extra step shaved time off my getting ready in the morning. Even though I'm a 'grown up' now, I still benefit from a bit o' wardrobe planning. Enter A Magazine Italy who has more stylistically laid out our back to school [insert: the office] outfits for the season. We're mixing stripes, plaids and comfy knits this Fall, people!

Peter Pan collars and knee socks and skorts, oh my!

Harvest Beauty

Did any of yall see Tim Burton's 70s revival vampire movie Dark Shadows? I kinda fell in love with the look of one particular actress in the film named Bella Heathcote (great name).

She certainly has lovely, haunting eyes and that heroine-chic, Tim Burton-ish mystique to her. Bella was featured this month in a Vogue Australia spread that boasted a satisfying summer-to-autumn feel. There's lace, a farmhand, and a bathtub in an orchard... what could be better?

We are having such amazeballs weather in Texas this week, it has me longing for Fall!
