Arty Gal

Actress Diane Kruger is a timeless beauty. She played a fantastic Helen of Troy and was spectacular in Inglourious Basterds. And in this photo spread from Tatler Russia, Diane shows off her artistic side. If only I were as glamorous when I paint at home...

Take Me There | El Fenn Hotel

I wish these photos were from my own travel archives, but alas... Marrakech, Morocco remains top of my bucket list. And now I'll add El Fenn Boutique Hotel to the list as well. The luxury hotel was built on once-crumbling palatial grounds and boasts a stunning combination of the old world and the new.

I'm probably one of the few women out there who doesn't like baths, but I'd make an exception here.

You can almost smell the incense and spices and sweet flowers.
Where are you taking your vacation this summer?

Sweet Abandonment

Just because a place is derelict doesn't mean it's ugly. To prove it, Trendland curated a collection of 25 Perfect Abandoned Places. They are quite spectacular (albeit a little spooky), and most you'll wonder why you've never heard of them before. Can you imagine shooting a fashion spread here?!

Yacht Club Wedding

Hubby and I just visited the beautiful state of Connecticut for a classic northeastern wedding. The weather could not have been more perfect. Both the rehearsal dinner and the wedding reception were held at gorgeous Greenwich yacht clubs - wonderfully nautical. Now I can't seem to stop thinking about decorating with ships' flags and sailing trophies!

I wore a Nha Khahn designer dress from Rent the Runway for the event. Enamored with the lace-and-tulle combo, I paired it with my beige pumps. For my hair, I fashioned a messy pin-cushion bun with a bow underneath.

We marveled at what could have been Jay Gatsby's house across the cove. And look how handsome my Hubby looks in his tux!

~ Congratulations, Brian and Hadley ~
Your wedding was spectacular, and we wish you many happy adventures together!

A San Francisco Treat

Over the weekend, Hubby and I went up to San Francisco to see college friends. We visited the marina and the Golden Gate Bridge which was cloaked in the bay's daily blanket of fog, or "Carl" as nicknamed by the locals. On our way to dinner, we happened upon an amazing landmark called the Palace of Fine Arts.

It was built in the early 1900s to host the first world's fair. Today it's a breathtaking reminder of an international event that took place a century ago.

Workers were setting up for a big wedding ceremony this day. What an amazing place to say your 'I Dos'!

We finished the evening eating sushi and toasting sake with fun friends. Kanpai!
