Fish Scales

The Hubby and I feel intensely blessed to live - at least for the time being - in the Monterey Bay area of California. Sometimes we just stand in awe of the natural surroundings we have access to: the Redwoods, the mountains, the cliffs, but most prominently, the ocean. I've seen and learned more about the ocean habitat and its beautiful creatures in the last 2 years than I have in my entire life.

So when I saw Agua de Coco's aquarium-centric campaign, I immediately fell in love with the colors and patterns of the Brazilian swimwear: coral, fish scales, shells, and octopus spots. Right up my alley!

You can bet, if you're an out-of-town guest visiting me in Santa Cruz, I'm probably going to take you to the Monterey Bay Aquarium!

  1. Do not keep the lights on too much and make sure to set up a timer.  Somewhere between 7-10 hours a day is fine.  Set it to be on when you are most likely to be able to enjoy the tank, in the evening perhaps.  If you are most active in the room when the lights are off, this may also stress the fish. www.fishtanksetups.com
